Wow, how quickly time flies! 2008 already! Anyhow, my New Year was off to a rather sickly start, compliments of Charlotte. Charlotte went home the day after Christmas. That same day, I had an itchy/scratchy throat. On the 27th, they took Charlotte to the doctor where he said she had bronchotitus (baby bronchitis?). I stayed home sick from work that day, but went back to work on Friday, and got much worse. It didn't help that it was about 35 degrees in the freaking office. I stayed home all weekend, and by Monday, I was ready to go to the NYE party at Gina and Weyland's, sick or not, because I had some serious cabin fever. I figured I wasn't contagious anymore.
So I went, my head pounding from the sinus congestion, but I had still had lots of fun. It's the first New Year's we've all spent together in a while. I think maybe since we all went to one of those Giant New Year's waaaaay back when. You remember those... raves out on Sunset? Goes til like 3 a.m.? Yeah, well, this time, we made it to about 12:30 a.m. then went home. At 10 I was thinking, please let me make it to 12. Hehehe. Sucks to be old. Regardless, good times were had. Thanks Gina & Weyland!
New Year's Day, we stayed home, but the Ryans and Jungs came over for some lunch and football. Linley walked about a mile's worth, up and down our family room. It was hilarious. She is so girly. It was like there was a catwalk in the family room. She'd walk with a totally girly super model walk and check her reflection out in the sliding glass door. She even sang a song she made up on her own. I know she made it up because it included the lyrics, "Seanie is naughty."
Friday I finally sucked it up and went to the doctor's where they informed me I had bronchitis. I got my cool drugs and headed down to OC for dinner with Vuong and Gina. We tried to go cheap and succeeded... except that we ate at 5 and ended up going to at least 2 more restaurants for drinks and dessert... thereby turning our cheap dinner into a rather pricey one... but hey... we even planned our next trips, so all worth it. Afterwards, I stopped by Goathill to meet up with the guys and our friend Daniel who was visiting from Australia. I didn't get a chance to see them on NYE, so it was nice to get a chance to hang out for a little bit.
